Homemade Tomato and Red Onion Salsa

This delicious salsa recipe is the perfect healthy accompaniment to any meal that you want to add a little spice to!

It takes less than 10 minutes to make and only requires 5 ingredients, a chopping board, a sharp knife and a serving bowl.

Bonus – the clean up will be faster than the time it took to make!

Try this salsa with these chicken chipotle tacos the next time you’re craving some spice.


  • 2-3 roma tomatoes
  • ½ red onion
  • Fresh coriander
  • 2 tsp. lime juice
  • Jalapeños (1-3 depending on your spice tolerance)


  1. Finely dice tomato, red onion and coriander.
  2. Mix together in small bowl with lime juice.
  3. Finely dice and add jalapeños to salsa until you reach desired spice level.
  4. Serve.
